What is blackjack paint used for?
Black Jack Black Bitumen Paint is suitable for use on many different substrates such as corrugated iron, fire escapes, stairways, ladders, storage tanks, gutters, downpipes, fences, railings, gates, concrete roofing, stone, brick, concrete screeds, sand/cement surfaces, and for over coating felt/wood.
What color is Black Jack?
Black Jack: Black Jack is slightly more black than Wrought Iron, but still an off black. With an LRV of 3.9, it’s darker than Wrought Iron, but still has some softness when compared with true black. This is a bold choice for an exterior, but we are seeing it more and more as clients commit to black.
Does blackjack paint dry hard?
Yes it will fully dry, needs at least 48 hours to throughly dry & it does smell, used it to water proof a internal wall before rendering.
Does Black Jack need a primer?
New galvanised surfaces should be roughened with a wire brush or treated with a proprietary etch primer. BLACK JACK BITUMEN AND FLASHING PRIMER is ready for use and should not be thinned. Apply by brush or spray.
How do you use black jack?
Apply 2 coats of Black Jack roof coating with a brush, allowing the first coat to dry before the second. First, remove loose chippings. If there are any defects wider than 0.75mm, fill in first with Bitumen Mastic and allow to dry. Any blisters should be opened and cleaned.
Can I paint over black jack?

rizla_83 i would recommend a light coloured masonry paint, which is used for concrete and brick. As the blackjack paint is rubber enriched bitumen emulsion it may bleed through other paints so i would also recommend a primer coat of paint before painting with masonry.
